Fill your eyes, mind, and spirit with the beauty of Costa Rica when departing the new Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia. "Mangroves and Beyond," floats viewers from the depths of the ocean, through the magical mangroves, to the canopies of the rainforest. The Hidden Garden Art Gallery is proud to announce its partnership with Coriport and will launch its first exhibit on January 12, 2012, presented by local artists Carlos Hiller and Tony Jimenez. The exhibits will consist of both paintings and sculpture.

Carlos Hiller is an artist devoted to portraying the oceans of Costa Rica. In this exhibit, we travel from the ocean through the mangroves to the rainforest. Carlos has exhibited both nationally and internationally, including Las Vegas, Chicago,  California, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and  in Europe. Carlos has been commissioned for works from Central America, the United States, France and the Middle East. He works actively in the conservation of the oceans through education.

Carlos Hiller es un artista dedicado a retratar los océanos de Costa Rica. En esta exposición parte desde  de los manglares hacia las profundidades del océano, y luego hacia lo mas alto de la selva. Carlos ha exhibido en lugares como Orlando, Chicago, Las Vegas, California, Fort Lauderdale, Holanda, etc y realizado trabajos por encargo para personalidades en Estados Unidos, Francia y Países del Medio Este. Trabaja activamente en la conservación de los Océanos a través de la educación y murales públicos.






Tony Jiménez  is a well known artist who  has participated in numerous solo and collective exhibitions, in Greece and throughout Costa Rica,  including the National Gallery, the National Symposium of Sculptors, Barva, and  the Biennial of Sculptors  BTC.  His creations have Tony's original easy-to-recognize characteristics including the integration of materials such as chains, wires, and stones as elements that define movement and dynamics, with fine finishes that bring out the texture, quality and color.  Materials  used  are already in waste and decomposition in nature.

Tony Jiménez
es un reconocido artista quien ha participado en numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas a lo largo de Costa Rica: la Galería Nacional, el Encuentro Nacional de Escultores en Barva, y la Bienal de Escultura BTC, entre otros y también en otros países como en Grecia. El estilo de Tony es fácil de reconocer, con características particulares como  la integración de materiales como cadenas, cables y piedras, como elementos que definen el movimiento y la dinámica, con finos acabados que resaltan la textura, calidad y color de las maderas caídas en forma natural y recuperadas que él utiliza.
