From the artist:
Through painting I express myself. My ideas, thoughts and feelings are captured on the canvas. It is my life and it gives me satisfaction, peace and joy. The themes that I develop are accompanied by a lot of study and research.  They carry a universal, positive and inspirational message.

From the beginning my work was characterized by an Impressionist and Expressionist style, I am inspired by the European art of the late 19th and 20th centuries. My medium evolved from only acrylic to oil, mixed and sculpture.

Having participated in multiple workshops of renowned national artists, in addition to seminars and conferences, the most relevant part of my career has been exposing my work not only within Costa Rica, but internationally as well …breaking borders and taking my art to unsuspected latitudes.

For several years, butterflies have been my theme of inspiration. In many cultures butterflies represent impermanence and instability in earthly life; the amazing change from a caterpillar to a butterfly is likened to the journey of a soul, from a physical body to a divine one. They are the insect of the soul. The ancient Greeks represented the soul, the human psyche, with the wings of the butterfly in art.
